Canadian Patent Awarded to the Precision Rein!

Canadian Patent Awarded to the Precision Rein!

“Shorten Your Reins!” How many times have you heard this?

Now riders in Canada can enjoy the soft connection of the Precision Rein with their horse.

Prior to marketing, the Precision Rein was delivered into the hands of the best riders and instructors in the United States for evaluation.

The Precision Rein is endorsed as a teaching aid by Karen O’Connor (USEA Olympic medalist), Peter Pletcher (USHJA World Champion), Melanie Tenney (USDF author of “Connection and How to Get It) and Ernest Dillon (Fellow of the BHS).

Ernest Dillon, International Grand Prix Rider and Fellow of the BHS has this to say about the Precision Rein, “Every horse and rider will benefit from the Precision Rein.  It is almost impossible to drop the horse out of balance over a jump.  The rider with the correct contact is a much more natural partner for his horse.”

The reins are connected over the withers, and form adjustable contact loops to provide the perfect rein length for each horse and rider.

You can ride in these reins by contacting Gateway Equestrian online at PrecisionRein.com or by phone @ 713-553-6616.

PROFESSIONALS DESIGN A BETTER REIN

Houston Tx. – Aug. 01, 2006

“Shorten Your Reins!” How many times have you heard this in a riding lesson? Teaching a correct contact is a fundamental issue for riding instructors. Many people ride with a long rein and say “Look, I have a light horse”, but in reality their horses are not accepting the bit.

Contact is a soft and steady connection between the rider’s hand and the horse’s mouth. If the rider is rigid, and bounces in the trot, the hands bounce in the same unyielding rhythm. If the hands are quiet and independent of the rider’s body, the horse will begin to accept the contact.

Gateway Equestrian collaborated with top professionals in dressage, eventing, and the hunter/jumper world to design a rein that would solve this problem. Several prototypes were constructed and tested before the final design of the Precision ReinTM Patent Pending was stitched into reality.

The Precision Rein was then delivered into the hands of the best riders and instructors in the country for input and design adjustments.

Olympic Medalist, Karen O’Connor approved the design and adjusted specific measurements. One of Britain’s most celebrated show jumping coaches, Ernest Dillon, Olympic show jumper, Peter Pletcher, and numerous other high profile coaches have contributed their expertise to produce a rein which provides the correct contact, every time.

The design allows a single continuous rein to easily convert into a Precision contact rein through the use of adjustable loops on either side of the neck. The leather loops are permanently attached, and can be adjusted to provide the perfect rein length for each horse and rider.
